Tips on Beating The GMAT:
Almost all business schools use GMAT scores to compare applicants and determine program eligibility. Because the test is thought to be quite difficult, you will want to prepare as much as possible before taking the GMAT. Don’t wait until the last minute to take the test. Should you need to retake the test, you’ll need time to register again and then have your scores submitted to the school before the application deadline. Give yourself plenty of time in case you decide you want to retake the test.

GMAT Questions
There are three sections to the GMAT: verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing. The verbal and quantitative sections have multiple choice questions, and the analytical writing section requires the completion of two essays. You will have 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the entire test.

GMAT Scores
Each section of the GMAT receives its own score, but the important number is the overall score that you achieve. This score will range from 200 to 800 points. The better your score is, the easier it will be for you to gain admission to a top business school. Though you can take the GMAT as many times as you want, your GMAT scores will stay on record for five years. Anytime your scores are reported to the school, they will see every effort that you made. This is why it is important to do as well as possible when taking the GMAT. Before you attempt the test, prepare by studying GMAT prep books or by taking a GMAT prep course. Practice as much as you can. The more you practice, the more prepared you will be. And the more prepared you are, the more confident you’ll feel, and the better you’ll do on the test.

Taking the GMAT
Take time to read understand each question, but not too much time. It’s important to manage your time effectively. The best way to learn how to do this is to practice, practice, practice. Double check each answer because the test does not allow you to go back and change your answers. Don’t over stress about it. Go in calm and confident, and do your best.
